John Helliwell has visited us recently.

Thanks to a promoter friend of us, John Helliwell and the band "Asfalto" came to Tarragona and Barcelona.

Always a pleasure to spend a few hours with this gentleman, we had a very long conversation past, present and future.

A great evening, with good friends and good music. The Barcelona gig was in "Razzmatazz", by the way John as a nephew living here in town. I introduced John to my friends "The Logical Group" (Supertramp tribute) and it was fun to see the John's face when he met the saxophonist of the band, they look alike :o)

The next day John had a flight to New York, for a concert with the musician Leslie Mandoki. He also quoted many more musicians and projects, impossible to remember! We will see ...

What I did find interesting to remember for fans of Supertramp, John will play together with Jessie Siebenberg in Germany during April, on a tour "Rock meets classic". It must be maybe similar to "Night of the Proms" (known as "pop meets classic") where Roger Hodgson usually plays. John and Jessie have already collaborated recently on the Excalibur tour that we also follow from here. We will keep you informed.

About Rick Davies there are no more news, the already known thing that surpassed the critical phase of the disease and that follows with control treatment, resting at home. And no plans at the moment, waiting for the total recovery.

John tireless, does not stop making collaborations and works over the years. It has not changed. Always as friendly and approachable as ever, enjoying his passion with a great sense of humor.

John Helliwell nos ha visitado recientemente.

Gracias a un promotor amigo nuestro conseguimos que John Helliwell y la banda Asfalto pasaran también por Tarragona y Barcelona.

Siempre un placer pasar unas horas con este gentleman, con quien conversamos largamente sobre infinidad de temas, pasado, presente y futuro.

Una gran velada, con buenos amigos y mucha música. El concierto de Barcelona fué en Razzmatazz, por cierto ciudad donde John tiene familia (sobrino). Fué divertido juntar a John con nuestros amigos de "Logical Group" tributo a Supertramp, y ver la cara de John al ver su parecido con el saxophonista de la banda, jajaja dos gotas de agua :o)

Al dia dia siguiente John marchaba a New York, para un concierto con el musico Leslie Mandoki. También nos citó muchos más musicos y proyectos, imposible acordarse! lo iremos viendo.

Lo que si me pareció interesante recordar para los fans de Supertramp, John estará junto con Jessie Siebenberg por Alemania en Abril, en una gira "Rock meets classic", que debe tener algún parecido con "Night of the Proms" donde suele actuar Roger Hodgson (conocodo por "pop meets classic".) John y Jessie ya colaboraron recientemente en la gira Excalibur que seguimos también desde aquí. Os mantendremos informados.

De Rick Davies no hay más novedades, lo ya sabido que superó la fase critica de la enfermedad y que sigue con tratamiento de control, haciendo una vida tranquila mas o menos "normal" con los suyos. Y ningun plan de trabajo de momento, a la espera de que se recupere totalmente.

John incansable, no para de hacer colaboraciones y trabajos a lo largo del año. No ha cambiado. siempre tan amable y accesible como siempre, disfrutando de su pasión con un gran sentido del humor.
