First show In Europe, tour 2013

Switzerland, the Alps, an area where Roger use to play year after year, and where I was lucky enough to see him years ago, as Interlaken  and St Imier (click on to see reports).
This time the place was the famous winter resort Crans-Montana, at 1,500 meters high, good overlook over the Alps.
Luckily it was all snow and although it was not cold, a comfortable temperature.

This edition celebrating the Caprices festival's 10th anniversary, including important artists.
The tent was huge, like a football field, the stage was huge too, huge dimensions..., as shown in my photos.
And great lighting and sound system, and two large screens on the sides.

Roger Hodgson was highly awaited and welcome, people came from other areas just for his show.
For example, lady singer Noa performed before the Roger's performance, whom I had the pleasure of chatting on stage, but the people who approached to the stage for the Roger concert was like triple amount. Despite the years people still love his music and his big heart .... What I can tell you if you are reading this ... ;-)

This time, Roger returned to the solo format with Aaron, so well known and so well "polished" after years playing together. Aaron as always giving his best with saxophones, keyboards and vocals.
Even they performed "Child of Vision", Aaron on piano, while Roger plays Wurlitzer sound.

In the first speech Roger said that he just arrived from S. Francisco, so at that time he should be sleeping, haha, but the truth he was very awake and giving his best as always, and people enjoyed a lot.

Roger also was gratefull towards the people who came from other areas to see him, and tried some "French" language on his speeches, pretty funny. And well appreciated by the audience.

No missed any of his greatest hits, and also some unusual songs like "C'est le bon ", what a magical intro.
Like in all the Roger's shows, a glorious ending, great atmosphere and the people very participatory, clapping, dancing, jumping.... actually during the whole show.

The backstage after the show was lively, followers from several countries.
I commented to Roger about the next concert in Florida, show with orchestra. I can not miss that (see my  pictures and report  too)
And they informed about a confirmed show in Barcelona July 3, will be announced April 11, stay tuned.

Primer concierto de la gira 2013 en Europa

Suiza, los Alpes, una zona donde Roger vuelve a tocar año tras año, y donde ya tuve la suerte de acompañarle hace unos años como en Interlaken y St Imier. (clikar para ver los reports)
Esta vez el lugar la conocida estación invernal de Crans-Montana, a 1500 mts de altura y buenas vistas sobre los Alpes.
Por suerte y aunque estaba todo nevado no hacía frío, una temperatura agradable.

En ésta edición se celebraba el 10º aniversario del festival Caprices, con importantes figuras de la canción.
La carpa era enorme, como un campo de futbol, y en el escenario te perdías entre tanto espacio, todas las dimensiones enormes, como se aprecia en las fotos.
Y muy bien montaje de luces, sonido, y dos grandes pantallas de cine a los lados para no perderse ningun detalle con los primeros planos.
Roger Hodgson era muy esperado, vino gente de otras zonas solo para el show.
Por ejemplo antes de Roger actuó Noa, con quien tuve el gusto de charlar en el escenario, pero la cantidad de publico que se acercó a continuación al escenario para el concierto de Roger fué como el triple. A pesar de los años la gente sigue amando ésta musica y éste gran corazón .... que os voy a contar si estáis leyendo ésto ... ;-)

En ésta ocasión, Roger regresó al formato en solitario con Aaron, tan conocido y tan bien pulido tras años juntos. Aaron como siempre dandolo todo con los saxos, teclados y voces.
Inlcuso nos interpretaron "Child of Vision", con Aaron al piano, mientras Roger interpreta toda la base de Wurlitzer.

Lo primero que comentó Roger al publico es que acababa de llegar de S. Francisco, y por tanto a esa hora el debería estar durmiendo, jaja, pero la verdad estuvo muy despierto y  dándolo todo como siempre, y la gente lo disfrutó en grande.

Roger también agradeció a la gente que habíamos venido de lejos a verle, y se atrevió algo con su "francés" simpático al dirigirse a la audiencia, muy bien recibido por el publico.

No faltó ninguno de sus grandes éxitos, y también canciones menos usuales como "C'est le bon", con esa intro tan mágica.
Como en todos los conciertos de Roger el fin de fiesta fué apoteósico, con los bises, muy buen ambiente y la gente muy participativa en todo el concierto.

El backstage tras el show estuvo animado, con seguidores de varios paises.
